Homecoming Highlights Community And Knight Pride

There is something about Homecoming Week that inspires our Upper School students to take their friendly competitive nature to another level. Stand on the sidelines during either our Boy's Volleyball or Girl's Powder Puff Football games and you are sure to get a real sense of Knight Pride.

"Like all of my classmates, I eagerly await this week and the chance to celebrate Homecoming Week," shared Senior and Ambassador Student Leader Aubrey Williams. "This week sets up such a supportive and fun school environment for the rest of the school year."

The Junior Class fought hard to earn the Boy's Volleyball Champion title and our Seniors dominated in Girl's Powder Puff Football to beat all competitors.

The Week was capped with an extremely busy Friday. The morning was dominated by Grades 9-12 each doing their best to display the theme of 'Music Videos From The Decades'. Though everyone showcased their creativity very admirably, the Senior class hit an absolute homerun with their note-perfect renditions of classic videos from the 1980s.

The day ended with an all-School Pep Rally featuring dance numbers by the boys of each Grade and several fun contests such as pie-eating and a tricycle race. Points were tallied from the various events (which also include Dodgeball and Trivia)  and the Homecoming Shield was awarded to the Class of 2025.

Everything culminated with Varsity Volleyball playing their Homecoming match - reigning victorious in convincing fashion against visiting Atlantic Christian Academy.

"There is no doubt that these events not only foster greater community connection but also stronger bonds within the individual Grade levels," shared Assistant Head of School Kelly Hilton-Green.
