Scott did his undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Scott is the Executive Director of the Hobe Sound Community Chest. Scott also served as the Executive Director of the Martin County Healthy Start Coalition and, prior to that, Director of Planning and Evaluation for the Children’s Services Council of Martin County. Scott and his wife, Janice, have lived in Martin County since 2005. They have two children and live in Sewall’s Point.

The Pine School is an independent college preparatory school educating students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade.
