Renato Laucas and his Engineering & Design class have been collaborating with PRINTERA - a local company that uses a robotic arm to create 3D print homes with concrete. Students embraced the challenge of creating different CAD designs for a bench and planter. This included carefully analyzing size constraints, weather conditions, and construction limitations. The unique pieces are now featured on PINE's campus.

“The trip to PRINTERA’s shop provided our students with the opportunity to work with the robotic arm, present their design ideas to the PRINTERA’s team, and participate in the 3D printing process of their own creations,” shared Laucas.

In other engineering & technology news - PINE’s Robotics team joined over 200 students from 25 Treasure Coast school teams as they participated in another local league team meet. In addition to celebrating significant victories, the group also found opportunities to improve and grow stronger.

“From the moment we arrived, it was clear that PINE’s team was ready to bring their A-game,” shared Senior Genevieve Waters.
